“What are we even doing here?”
How I found myself in a position to find a job in 60 days
I've been known to say the above from time to time. The frequency at which this escapes from me is often correlated with how crazy the situation is. In early August (aka about 10 days ago), after two years at Robinhood, I was part of a workforce reduction. Suddenly, I found myself without a job on what I thought was going to be a normal work day.
To make matters worse, I am here on a work visa, which means I have 60 days to land a new relevant gig. *panic intensifies*. So, here I am, a Product Operations Manager (POM), working on a very important launch on a very short timeline.
So what's a POM to do? POM it of course! I'm treating this very intense job search with the discipline of a POM. Along the way, I'm hoping to take some of the isolation and stress that comes with a job search. If you are following along and have ideas on what else I could muse about - please hit me up!
Now, let's get after it!
